This is the best option because it reduces the risk of rejection.<\/ul>\n<li>Allogeneic bone \u2013 bone from another person that has undergone extensive processing and disinfection to eliminate the risk of infection.\n<li>Synthetic bone materials \u2013 artificial or laboratory-made materials that mimic the structure of bone and promote the growth of new bone.\n<li>Xenogeneic bone \u2013 bone from animals (such as cows) that has been processed to be suitable for humans.\n<\/ul>\n<p>Bone transplantation is performed under local anesthesia and may require several subsequent procedural steps, such as monitoring the growth and stabilization of the transplanted bone. After the transplant procedure, the jawbone must recover, which can take several months before implants can be placed.<\/p>\n<p>It is important to follow your doctor\u2019s instructions after a bone transplant to ensure proper healing and avoid complications such as infection or non-viability of the transplanted bone.
