A bridge would require grinding them down; an implant would not.<\/li>\n<li><strong>All-on-X<\/strong> \u2014 an edentulous jaw where a fixed solution without a palatal plate is wanted.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Implant overdenture<\/strong> \u2014 the in-between option: removable, but anchored to implants so it does not move.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Adapting to a removable denture<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The first weeks are always an adjustment: increased salivation, speech changes and pressure points are common. Pressure points are normal and are adjusted at a visit \u2014 you should never tolerate pain with a denture, because constant pressure damages the gum.
